To better manage and improve the day to day operations of our practices within our P&D division we are seeking another full time Operations Manager.
This individual will be an ambassador of the Slicker Trucking team and work hand in hand with Current Management and Drivers.
OPERATIONS MANAGER OUTLINE
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Driver with Slicker Trucking (Pref Lead)
No accidents or incidents in 12 months
No chargeable claims in 12 months
Ability to work with various professional levels
Patience with Daily Work Load - ability to work with team to get the job done
Willingness to work 6 days when required (standard schedule will be 5 days)
BASIC TASKS & DUTIES
Assist with Dispatch to make sure all team members are set up for success
Assist with Maintenance & Fleet Management to ensure all trucks are DOT compliant and drivers have the tools they need to perform their daily tasks.
Assist in creating & managing routing Slicker Trucking, Inc. - work with Drivers and Management to continue to improve & streamline routing to provide best service to FedEx customers in the most safe & efficient way.
Assist with scheduling - work with team & current management to structure a solid and reliable 5-7 day schedule that affords all team members work life balance and competitive wages.
Assist with Safety Meeting (Report findings & trends)
Assist with route / package delivery when needed

COMPENSATION
Salary will be discussed with qualified candidates.
**WHEN COVERING ROUTE DRIVER DUTIES AND TASKS
Perform pre & post trip inspection of vehicle (Non CDL position)
Operate commercial vehicle in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Load and unload packages by hand.
Work in all weather conditions.
Make certain package quality is maintained until it reaches customer.
Follow all company policies with regards to package delivery and recordkeeping through use of custom scanner/software at warehouse site and with hand held devices.
Communicate/report problems or issues to guarantee customer satisfaction
Package control: Must report any goods that are lost, stolen or damaged while in transit.
Follow preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advise management of any unsafe conditions
Adhere to all terms of the company Vehicle & FedEx Contractor Safety Policies
Exceptional Timeliness and attendance are critical
